Adam Ponder is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Alta Trust, where he leads the firm’s vision, strategy, and growth. He is recognized in the financial services industry for bringing innovative ideas to the investment community and for building solutions that help financial advisors and retirement plan providers deliver better outcomes for their clients.
At Alta Trust, Adam is focused on expanding access to private markets, collective investment trusts, and innovative trust solutions for financial advisors and retirement plan providers. His work centers on making these capabilities practical to adopt by offering the structure and support firms need to launch differentiated solutions without rebuilding their business model. Adam brings an advisor-first mindset to every partnership and looks for win-win outcomes grounded in alignment, transparency, and strong execution.
Prior to founding Alta Trust, Adam co-founded both RIA and TPA firms, experience that shapes how he leads today with an emphasis on service, clarity, and building durable operations in regulated environments. Adam is also the author of Private Funds for Investment Advisors, reinforcing his commitment to helping advisors pursue private investment opportunities with the right structure, education, and support.
Away from the office, Adam lives in Colorado with his wife, Nicole, and their four children. They enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors.
