Jonathan Heiberger is a Senior Trust Officer at Alta Trust Company with more than seven years of experience administering complex domestic and international trust structures. He works closely with clients, financial advisors, attorneys, and tax professionals to oversee trust administration, evaluate distribution requests, and help ensure trusts are administered in accordance with governing documents and applicable regulations.
Jonathan’s experience spans every stage of the trust administration process, from onboarding new trust relationships and conducting KYC/AML reviews to ongoing fiduciary administration, regulatory compliance, tax reporting, and distribution oversight. His thoughtful, detail-oriented approach helps advisors and families navigate complex trust structures with confidence while ensuring each trust is administered according to its intended purpose.
Before joining Alta Trust, Jonathan held trust administration roles at BitGo Bank & Trust and South Dakota Trust Company, where he managed complex trust relationships, led institutional onboarding initiatives, and supported regulatory examinations. Jonathan is a graduate of Cannon Trust School I and II and has completed the exam for the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation and expects certification to be issued in August of this year.
