T.L. serves clients across industry sectors on complex domestic and cross-border wealth preservation, asset protection, and multigenerational succession planning matters.

T.L.’s career spans elite law firm practice, private client and family office advisory, and legal academia. He has held senior roles at a leading multi-family office, Covington & Burling LLP, Deloitte’s National Tax Office, and a boutique estate planning practice supporting both domestic and international clients.

From 2004 to 2023, T.L. served as Professor of Law and Professor of Engineering and Computer Science, teaching estate and gift taxation, wills and trusts, estate planning, income taxation, and property law. He is a frequent faculty presenter for institutes such as Heckerling and ACTEC, and his scholarship has appeared in leading professional publications including BNA Tax Portfolio and Boston University Law Review.
