Meryl Newman

Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer, Meryl oversees the accounting, finance and human resource functions for Alta Trust Company. She has spent her career in the specialty finance sector in various roles within Human Resources, Accounting & Finance and Treasury for companies such as small ticket leasing, lending and family offices. Meryl started her career in public accounting with BDO Seidman where she worked with a wide array of industries before focusing her career on specialty finance helping BDO grow that industry in their WA office. Meryl enjoys using her experience to advance projects in her community; she was active on her daughters’ PTA board where she led a campaign to raise funds for the school’s new playground. She enjoys time with her family camping and hiking, yoga, and walking her dog, Harley.
